KNIT~MAGIC is an internationally recognized program developed by sensory wellness expert, Karen Zila Hayes. In addition to her cutting-edge work in this field, she is also an educator with over 20 years of experience who loves designing programs that challenge, nurture, and inspire her students. Hayes is also the creator of P.A.C.E. (Postural Alignment & Creative Expression), the first ever safe knitting method. Students are encouraged to think outside of the box, as they build strong habits that ensure comfort, confidence, and long-term success without any risk of repetitive strain injury.

Schools across the world are beginning to discover the academic benefits of knitting. Â This wonder craft reinforces basic concepts of mathematics, improves hand/eye coordination and small motor skills, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Knitting also stimulates both sides of the brain simultaneously and, as a result, enables students to achieve a greater level of concentration when learning. Programs have been implemented in the U.S. and Denmark in which students are encouraged to knit during class to improve their learning skills.
Since 2007, our WONDERS OF KNITTING clubs have been winning rave revues in some of Toronto’s top schools, including The York School, Bishop Strachan School, Willow Academy and Montcrest School.

TUESDAY afternoons from SEPT. 22nd – DEC. 8th
From DISMISSAL – 4:45 pm
(12 lessons total).

ALSO, WE CAN LET YOU KNOW AS SOON AS REGISTRATION OPENS IN THE WINTER TERM, SO YOU CAN ENROLL YOUR CHILD THEN.
