KNIT~MAGIC

REVOLUTIONIZING THE WAY WE KNIT
AND THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT KNITTING!

Our knitting programs are truly groundbreaking—blending creativity, wellness, and purpose in ways never seen before. Our founder, Karen Zila Hayes, has decades of experience working with kids and she loves designing programs that challenge, nurture, and inspire them.

At the core of every program is founder Hayes’ first ever safe knitting method, P.A.C.E. (Postural Alignment & Creative Expression). As the first and only program to integrate proper posture with the creative joy of knitting, P.A.C.E. helps students build strong habits from the start—ensuring comfort, confidence, and long-term success without any risk of repetitive strain injury.

WHY SHOULD KIDS KNIT?

AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, KNITTING:

Engages Your
Brain

Reveals Your
Creativity

Reduces Stress & Anxieity

BUT DID YOU KNOW IT HAS ALSO BEEN PROVEN TO HELP WITH:

Learning Skills

Fine Motor Skills

Memory Skills

Math
Skills

Mood
Regulation

ADD &
ADHD

WITH ALL THESE BENEFITS, SHOULDN’T EVERYONE BE KNITTING?

THE WONDERS OF KNITTING CLUB

Schools across the world are beginning to discover the academic benefits of knitting.  This wonder craft reinforces basic concepts of mathematics, improves hand/eye coordination and small motor skills, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Knitting also stimulates both sides of the brain simultaneously and, as a result, enables students to achieve a greater level of concentration when learning. Programs have been implemented in the U.S. and Denmark in which students are encouraged to knit during class to improve their learning skills.

Since 2007, our WONDERS OF KNITTING clubs have been winning rave revues in some of Toronto’s top schools, including The York School, Bishop Strachan School, Willow Academy and Montcrest School.

THE LEADING EDGE IN SENSORY AND CREATIVE LEARNING

"The repetitive action of needlework can induce a relaxed state like that associated with meditation and yoga. It provides psychological benefits that are similar to those of mindfulness."

REVOLUTIONIZING THE WAY WE KNIT
AND THE WAY WE THINK ABOUT KNITTING.

Our knitting programs are truly groundbreaking—blending creativity, wellness, and purpose in ways never seen before. Our founder, Karen, has decades of experience working with kids and she loves designing programs that challenge, nurture, and inspire them. Classes are offered in schools as part of their after-four programming or in a host parent’s home to ensure the maximum level of safety for children and convenience for their families.

At the core of every program is founder Karen Zila Hayes’ first ever safe knitting method, P.A.C.E. (Postural Alignment & Creative Expression).  This method provides the safe, solid foundation many knitters never receive. As the first and only program to integrate proper posture with the creative joy of knitting, P.A.C.E. helps you build strong habits from the start—ensuring comfort, confidence, and long-term success.
